QWO is the first minimally invasive treatment for cellulite with a mild recovery period, especially in comparison to other methods to treat cellulite.

QWO is the first FDA approved injectable for cellulite for moderate to severe cellulite in the buttocks of adult women. The procedure may be used off-label on other parts of the body such as arms, inner thighs and outer thighs.

What exactly is QWO®? QWO is an in office used to treat moderate to severe cellulite.

The FDA recently approved Endo Aesthetics’ injectable called “collagenase clostridium histolyticum-aaes,” aka “QWO,” designed to treat moderate to severe cases of cellulite . QWO releases fibrous septae enzymatically and targets types 1 and 3 collagens to eliminate skin tethering and cellulite dimples in the affected area.

What is the procedure like?

  1. The patient’s skin is marked by the doctor for QWO injection placement and then QWO is administered to the patient’s affected areas.
  2. The NYC plastic surgeon will inject QWO medicine into the fat of each single affected area to patient selects
  3. The entire procedure is painless
  4. No down-time

Multiple treatments may be required. QWO treatment injections will be administered 21 days apart with a total of three treatment sessions. Each treatment session takes around 10-15 minutes.

Typically our patients see improvement to their cellulite at about 3 weeks after treatment with continuous improvement as collagen remodeling continues. Three treatments have been shown to be necessary to achieve the best results.
